Short Films
Siqi's journey as a film producer began with the short film Lost in Distance. Over the past few years, she has collaborated on several student film projects, each offering a deeper engagement with the world of cinema. Currently, she is developing her own short film, “偶”， (OU, meaning "puppet" in Chinese), which skillfully interweaves her fascination with horror and the traditional Chinese art of puppet theater.
As an emerging filmmaker, Siqi hopes to not only express her artistic vision but to raise her voice for marginalized groups in society, shedding light on their struggles, celebrating their resilience, and challenging societal norms that perpetuate inequality. Through her work, she aims to amplify the stories that are often overlooked, using the power of cinema as a tool for social change and empathy. By creating films that resonate with diverse audiences, Siqi seeks to foster understanding, inspire action, and contribute to a more inclusive world where everyone’s story is valued.
